I’m proud to be a member of the South Lyon community, and I’m grateful that my two daughters will grow up in South Lyon Community Schools.
Our schools are not just institutions to my family. They're centers of knowledge and growth that serve children from every background, ability and circumstance. They're places where children are supported, challenged and encouraged to dream about who they want to become.
I’m serving on the Board because I care deeply about the future of our district and about the students, families and educators who make it such a special community.
I believe our schools should be safe, inclusive and inspiring places where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
A Lifelong Believer in Public Education
I’m a lifelong learner and a lifelong believer in the power of public education.
I attended Brighton Area Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, earned my undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, and later earned my MBA from the University of Illinois.
Professionally, I've spent 15 years working in advertising and communications across the automotive and healthcare industries. My work has taught me how to communicate complex information clearly, manage complicated projects and budgets, listen to stakeholders, and make thoughtful decisions when the stakes are high.
Public education is also personal for my family. My mom taught first grade at Spencer Elementary for 30 years, and I saw firsthand how decisions made at the district level could affect teachers, students and school communities.
Today, I’m a parent in South Lyon Community Schools and a member of the Board of Education. I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to the schools and community that mean so much to my family.

Equity for Every Student
Equity across our schools. Every student deserves a high-quality educational experience, regardless of which school building they attend.
Safe & Supported
Student and staff well-being. Students learn best when they feel safe, supported and connected. Mental health resources are vital as well as environmental safety.
Strong Schools
Supporting educators and staff. Great schools depend on great people. I believe responsible budgeting should prioritize our educators.
Good Stewards
Responsible decisions with public resources. Board members have a responsibility to be careful stewards of taxpayer dollars.
Our schools are more than buildings. They're our community.
South Lyon is home. It’s where my family has built friendships, where our children are growing up, and where neighbors show up for one another. I’ve seen the South Lyon community from the perspective of a parent, a volunteer, and a professional. What stands out to me most is the pride people have in our schools and the people who make them special. I hope to continue serving on the Board of Education and growing that pride for our schools.
